CiiRUS Software Terms and Vocabulary

Term	Meaning
Interface	The layout and/or design of the interactive elements of a computer program that allows the user to interact with the system.
PM / MC	Person (Property Manager) or firm (Management Company) charged with maintaining short term vacation homes while supplying reservations to offset property owner expenses.
Property / Unit / Home / Listing	Various vacation property types such as, a single-family dwelling, townhome, villa or condo.
Tokens	Used to populate content for newsletters, templates, and custom websites. A Token is a placeholder for real data. For example, the Token “[bookingid]” would display the actual Booking ID of the selected reservation.
API	Application Programming Interface (API). APIs are what make it possible to move information between software’s. For CiiRUS, an API is a way of connecting our systems to other systems through a standard of data transfer.
CRM	Customer Relationship Management (CRM). A system or strategy for managing client interactions, dealing with future and current customers. In CiiRUS, the CRM allows you to market to past, present and future guests.
Drop-down Menu	A graphical control element, similar to a list box, that allows the user to choose value(s) from a list.
SuperSite	A second or third website that can be used for various situations. For example: A second or third website in another language, you manage a group of homes in a resort and would like a website dedicated to these homes, or you work closely with a travel agent and would like to provide a website for the agent.
Calendar Sync	Allows an account to distribute homes to another Property Manager that sync the calendars when a booking is placed. With calendar sync, the home is actually cloned to the Agent account. This enables the agent to have complete control of the reservation and the reservation process.
Channel Partners	Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, TripAdvisor, etc..
